About Me

Hi, I’m Kate, founder of Sebastian Luxe Travel, lover of all things travel, and firm believer that the best trips feel like they were planned by someone who knows you a little too well.

Travel has always been part of my life. I fell for Paris at eleven and have returned more than a dozen times since, even living there for a few months. Along the way, I’ve explored the vineyards of France, the cliffs of Ireland, the villages of the Netherlands, and the mountains of Switzerland. I’ve wandered the streets of Vienna and Prague, soaked in the baths of Budapest, found quiet corners in Bali and Vietnam, and discovered temples in Thailand. I’ve chased sunsets in Italy, Spain, Portugal, all around the Caribbean, throughout Mexico, and across Hawaii, always looking for the magic that makes a place unforgettable.

I live in Westport, Connecticut, with my Dutch husband and our six-year-old son, Sebbie. We met while surfing in the Dominican Republic at a little spot called Swell in Cabarete. The trip was supposed to last a week. Life had other plans.

Along the way, I’ve built a travel style that’s guided by curiosity, creativity, and a love of experiences that feel both effortless and deeply personal. Taste matters. Details matter. And the best moments are often the ones you didn’t plan for, but had the space to enjoy.

I started Sebastian Luxe Travel to make it easier, and a lot more fun, to plan trips that feel personal, inspiring, and seamless. Whether you’re dreaming of a family adventure, a romantic escape, or a European ski trip that somehow costs less than a long weekend in Vermont, I’m here to help.
